Hulk Hogan, an avid Donald Trump supporter who used the last years of his life to push a fascist regime upon the naive, has passed away at 71 years old, according to the AP news wire. Per the AP, “In 2016, a Florida jury awarded Hogan $115 million in his sex tape lawsuit against Gawker Media and then added $25 million in punitive damages”. The suit did not dispute issues of fact, but rather privacy.
The native of Clearwater, Florida, is a symbol of Americana now totally dominated by fascist ideals. Such that the governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis has issued a public statement on the significance of his death.
Career
Hogan gained significant notoriety through his WWF (now called WWE) participation becoming ‘champion’ of the ‘sport’, but later relinquishing the title to another character ‘Andre the Giant’ in 1988. As most can remember, the issue with wrestling was never the extreme athleticism required for the performances. Rather, controversy centers on whether the sport is a choreographed affair (it is) that required extreme amounts of planning, like a play, not a legitimate affair where the outcome could not be anticipated with such precision.
Lawsuit
The WWE star, whose real name was Terry Bollea, propelled into the spotlight via fake wrestling matches that were feats in acrobatic talent, but with false sporting features.
Nevertheless, Hogan sued Gawker in 2012 after the investigative outlet posted a video of him having sex with his former best friend’s wife. Again, “He contended the post violated his privacy”. This suit was financed by none other than Peter Thiel, a major Trump donor and supporter who likely cajoled Hogan into stumping for Drumpf during his later years. Thus, Hogan, a would be beloved figure of United States entertainment tarnished his legacy with outlandish performances for the Trump cult.
Death
He died of cardiac arrest, and his family attempted to call 911 to provide first aid.
