The city of Bogota has been shaken by a tragic event that occurred at Corferias, one of the main event venues in the Colombian capital. The body of Carlos David Ruiz Molina, a 25-year-old student of the Universidad Javeriana, was found dead in one of the pavilions of Corferias.
On May 25, Carlos’ family and friends reported him missing after hours of searching the city. Apparently, the young man had attended the Baum Festival, an electronic music event held in the Corferias pavilions on May 24 and 25. According to witnesses, Ruiz got lost from his friends in the middle of the crowd during the festival’s exit.
The young man’s friends used social networks to narrate their attempts to find his whereabouts. They relate that the last time they saw him was the night of May 24, at the end of the first day of the festival. Some of them alerted the security guards and the logistics staff of the event about the disappearance of their friend but the same logistics staff assured them that there was no one left inside the fairgrounds.
“They were asked for help to locate Carlos as soon as he disappeared that morning, they took our friends out of there with the excuse that no one was left because they were doing a review after the event was over!”
